Guidelines for the Beneficial Use of Fertilizing Residuals
Reference Criteria and Regulatory Standards
First
published in 2004, Guidelines for the Beneficial Use of Fertilizing
Residuals was subsequently reissued in November 2008.
This publication ( PDF file,
735 Ko) is essentially used to establish whether or not a given fertilizing
residuals (FR) reclamation project requires a Certificate of Authorization,
and to determine applicable criteria and standards. The Guidelines provides
a frame of reference for the more than 500 Certificates of Authorization
that are issued each year and for hundreds of Project Notices for FR use in
agriculture as well.
This is an evolving guidebook that is subject to change as knowledge
progresses. Newly available information, as well as numerous requests for
clarification from a wide variety of clients, have led the Ministère to
produce a
July 2010 Addendum to the Guidelines (French).
Further information on Fertilizing Residuals can be obtained by visiting
the Web site of the Ministère or by contacting a
regional office.
