• Using an aircraft, for any purpose and on any space legally accessible by aircraft

Aquatic Application

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destruct or control aquatic plants or organisms except against biting insect larvae:

• In the sea, a gulf, the St. Lawrence River, a water course, a lake, a pond, a pool, a marsh, a wetland or any water body, or

• On a submerged facility (wharf) or a boat hull

Application on Raw land

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destruct or control plants:

• In road transport, railway and energy line routes

• In their service areas and related spaces, storage areas and noncropped grounds (hydroelectric stations and electricity line right-of-way, railroad yards, industrial lands, vacant lots)

• Forest access roads

Application in Ornamental horticulture

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides, everywhere decorative and ornamental plants are grown (except in a building):

• To control the growth of these plants or protect them against parasitic diseases, or to destroy or control weeds and pests.

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destroy or control plants:

• In pedestrian zones, parking or sports areas, or

• In water bodies with no surface outflow

Fumigation allowed, except using methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine (CD6).

Application for Extermination

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destroy or control:

• Vertebrate pests on site, except fish;

• Invertebrates attacking harvested plants, prevent and fight against parasitic diseases on these plants;

• Invertebrates in confined spaces, vehicles or near buildings, except live plant invertebrate pests.

Fumigation allowed, except using methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine (CD6).

Application by Fumigation

Application by fumigation, for any purpose, in confined spaces of the following gases: methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine.

Application in Forest Areas

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destroy or control animals, plants or parasitic diseases:

• In forest areas, wooded areas, or

• In spaces for reforestation or non greenhouse production of plants for reforestation.

Application of pesticides to destroy or control vegetation on forest access roads.

Application on cultivated Land

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides to destroy or control:

• Pest invertebrates, parasitic diseases or vegetation (except decorative or ornamental plants) on croplands.

Fumigation allowed, except using methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine (CD6).

Application for Control of Biting Insects

Application, other than with an aircraft, of pesticides

• In an aquatic environment to control biting insect larvae or

• In the atmosphere to control adult biting insects.

Application in Buildings for Horticultural Purposes

Application of pesticides to destroy or control:

• Weeds or pests, or to protect plants grown in a building against parasitic diseases

• In decorative pools in a building to control or destroy plants

• Over a strip no more than one meter wide on the outside edge of a greenhouse to destroy or control weeds and pests.

Fumigation allowed, except using methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine (CD6).

Types not in Subclasses CD1 to CD10.

• Animals (rodents, invertebrates), vegetation or parasitic diseases within the limits of the farm (including wooded areas)

• Aquatic plants in a pool or pond with no outflow, entirely within farm limits

Except for E3 or E5 types of activities

Farmer’s Certificate

Application, other than with an aircraft, of Class 1-3 pesticides of pesticides to destroy or control on an agricultural operation:

• Animals (rodents, invertebrates), vegetation or parasitic diseases within the limits of the farm (including wooded areas)

• Aquatic plants in a pool or pond with no outflow, entirely within farm limits

Fumigation allowed, except using methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine.

Except for E3 or E5 types of activities

Farm’s Certificate for Application in buildings for Horticultural Purposes

Application of Class 1-3 pesticides:

• On plants grown in a building

• On plants in decorative pools in a building

• On plants or animals on a strip no more than one meter wide on the outside edge of a greenhouse.

• Except for E5 type of activities

Certificate for fumigation

Application by fumigation of the following gases: methyl bromide, carbon dioxide, ethylene oxide or phosphine.

In a forest operation managed by a forest producer recognized under Chapter II of the Forests Act having less than 10 employees, not counting management.

Forest Manager’s Certificates

Application, other than with an aircraft, of Class 1-3 pesticides to destroy or control animals, plants or parasitic diseases:

• In forest areas, wooded areas or

• In areas for reforestation or non-greenhouse production of plants for reforestation.
